Raymond Lateef Young was born on August 30, 1981 in Columbus, Ohio to Raymond and Sandra Young and suddenly departed this life on January 27, 2026 at his home in Lauderhill, Florida.
He attended Pickerington Local School District and further pursued his education at The Ohio State University earning him a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing in 2005.
Raymond Lateef Young was a Financial Securities Advisor for Northwestern Mutual at the time of his passing. He was also recognized for his successful DJ career in Miami, Florida, performing as "DJ SOS" or "Son of Soul." Raymond touched many lives with his music, sharing warmth, kindness, and laughter. He was a beloved dog lover. He enjoyed disc jockeying elaborate parties for well-known celebrities such as Lebron James, Chris Bosh, and Nike.
Raymond, also known as Lateef, is survived by his father: Raymond (Marcia) Young: brother: Jeffrey Young; uncles, aunts, and many cousins who will always cherish his memory and uphold his legacy.
He was preceded in death by Mother: Sandra Kay Young and Brother: Gerald Young.
