Mrs. Rayette Gibson Chapman, age 49, of Temple, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026. Born in Blytheville, Arkansas, on July 24, 1976, Mrs. Chapman was a cherished soul known for her warm and inviting personality that touched the lives of many. Her presence brightened every room she entered, and her greatest joy came from her beloved children, whom she loved deeply.
She was preceded in death by her father, Vanis Curry, her mother, Emma (Sanders) Gibson, and by her stepfather, Julius Gibson, Sr.
Mrs. Chapman is lovingly remembered by her husband, Brooks Chapman of Temple; her children, Micah and Micayla Chapman of Temple; her brothers, Julius “Hart” Gibson, Jr. and his wife Virgie of Blytheville, Arkansas, Jammy Parker of Temple, and Vanis Smith of Charlotte, North Carolina; as well as her sisters, Karla Hunter of Temple and Sade Curry of Nashville, Tennessee. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives who will continue to honor her memory.
In accordance with Mrs. Chapman’s arrangements, she will be cremated.

Cremation services are be provided by Hutcheson-Croft Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Temple.
