RAZE WASHINGTON JR WAS A BELOVED BROTHER, FATHER, GRANDFATHER,
UNCLE, COUSIN AND FRIEND HE DEPARTED THIS LIFE PEACEFULLY ON
AUGUST 4, 2025 SURROUNDED BY HIS LOVING FAMILY.
HE WILL BE DEEPLY MISSED BY ALL WHO KNEW AND LOVED HIM.
RAZE WAS BORN ON NOVEMBER 8, 1946 IN THE CITY OF PRICHARD, HE WAS
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS PARENTS RAZE WASHINGTON SR AND NATA MAE
LEE WASHINGTON. BROTHERS JIMMIE WASHINGTON & JOHN HENRY, SISTERS
ALICE CHRISTINE WASHINGTON DOCKERY & ROSE MARY WASHINGTON
WHITE.
HE WAS KNOWN FOR HIS KIND HEART AND A SMILE THAT COULD LIGHT UP A
ROOM. HIS LOVE WILL FOREVER LIVE ON IN THOSE WHO KNEW HIM. YOU
HAVE ALWAYS FOUND A REASON TO SMILE EVEN ON THE HARDEST DAYS
YOUR SMILE LIVES ON IN ALL OF US AND THE MANY LIFE LESSONS YOU HAVE
TAUGHT US. RAZE PUT UP A GOOD FIGHT AND THROUGH IT ALL HE SHOWED
STRENGTH AND GRACE WHILE KEEPING HIS FAITH AND DIGNITY WITH A
HEART FULL OF LOVE.
HE LEAVES BEHIND HIS LOVING FAMILY: CHILDREN CHERYL BALAMS (ERIC)
BELL, CHRIS BALAMS AND TERRANCE (LERAZE)WASHINGTON. HIS SISTERS
PATRICIA WASHINGTON(JERRY) BUMPERS AND MARIE ANDERSON, A
DEVOTED FRIEND CAROLYN BOYD, DEVOTED COUSIN LAMAR CUNNINGHAM
AND A DEVOTED GRANDDAUGHTER FRENECIA (NICK) ANTONE.
GRANDCHILDREN CEDERICK (CANDACE) SMILEY, KAYLA BALAMS, MICHAEL
SMITH, LACHERICA BELL, PORSHA KEMP, TIERRANIE (LENAE) WASHINGTON
AND TERRANCE WASHINGTON. A HOST OF GREAT GRANDCHILDREN,
COUSINS, NIECES AND NEPHEWS.
HE ALWAYS HAD AWAY OF MAKING THINGS FEEL OKAY JUST WITH A SMILE OR
GREAT CONVERSATION. WE WILL CARRY THAT WITH US FOREVER.
IN HIS FREE TIME RAZE ENJOYED TALKING ON HIS CB RADIO, GRILLING,
FISHING AND MORE.
RAZE WILL BE REMEMBERED FOR HIS GENTLE SPIRIT AND HE LEAVES BEHIND
A LEGACY OF KINDNESS AND COMPASSION THAT WILL CONTINUE TO INSPIRE
GENERATIONS TO COME.
