Reah Joann Goff age 94 of Braceville passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Saturday March 28, 2026 at the Country Club Rehabilitation Campus in Newton Falls. She was born on Jan. 28, 1932 in Frew, WV the daughter of the late Benton Tennant and Suzanna (Thomas) Tennant. Joann married her first husband Homer C. Warner on Sept. 18, 1948 and they enjoyed 17 years of marriage together until his death on Feb. 13, 1966. She married her second husband Ferrell Goff on June 14, 1969 and they enjoyed 52 years of marriage together until his death on Nov. 13, 2021. Joann had lived in Braceville since 1969 formerly of Alma, WV. Joann was a wonderful housewife and mother to her children. She loved getting together with family for any occasion. In the summer she loved vacationing with her husband, gardening, and often found swinging on her front porch watching the birds. Joann found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life like sharing a sweet dessert, cooking a homemade meal, crocheting, shopping, traveling, and helping at the church pork chop dinners. Joann is preceded in death by her parents, her first & second husbands, 3 brothers: Francis, Danie, & Harley Tennant, 1 sister: Delcie Booher, and 1 daughter in law: Sally Warner.
She is survived by: 3 daughters: Sharon Smith (Mike Havert) of Hilton, NY, Betty (Larry) Fletcher of Alma, WV, Linda Warner (Amy Long) of Cleveland, OH, 4 sons: Rick (Deb) Warner of Alma, WV, Mike Warner of Newton Falls, Terry (Sue) Warner of Leavittsburg, OH, Brian (Jessica) Goff of Akron, OH, 1 sister: Marjorie Haney of Leavittsburg, OH, 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 11 great- great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Thursday April 2, 2026 at 11:00am with Pastor Joan Purnell officiating. Calling hours will be at the funeral home on Wednesday April 1, 2026 from 4:00- 7:00pm. She will be laid to rest beside her husband Ferrell at Braceville Cemetery. The family has requested that all donations please be made to either: the American Cancer Society PO Box 22718 Oklahoma City, OK 73123 or the Braceville United Methodist Church 589 Park Rd. SW Newton Falls, OH 44444 in her memory.
