Reba Hudgens Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wilson Funeral Homes - Ringgold Chapel on Mar. 26, 2026.
Reba Mae Hudgens, 87, of Milton, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2026. She was born in Ringgold, Georgia, to Alexa and Ben Dawn and was one of thirteen children.

Reba was the last surviving of her siblings. She was a devoted mother who raised six children with strength, faith, and determination. Later in life, she pursued her education and became a licensed practical nurse (LPN), continuing to care for and support her children still at home.

Reba was a woman of many gifts. She was a talented poet who expressed her thoughts and faith through her writing, and she found joy in sewing, creating with her hands for those she loved. Above all, she was deeply devoted to worshipping and following Christ, a faith that guided her life and gave her strength through every season.

She had a deeply compassionate heart and was especially caring toward those who could not advocate for themselves, always offering kindness, patience, and a voice for those in need.

She will be remembered for her resilience, her creativity, her compassion, and her unwavering love for her family and above all Jesus. Her legacy lives on in the generations she nurtured and inspired.

She is survived by her children, Debrah Hudgens, Joni Sims, and Judy Hernandez. She was preceded in death by her children, Sheliah Vaughn, Daniel Hudgens, and Angela Gruber.

Reba also leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom were blessed by her love and presence.

"He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the former things have passed away." - Revelation 21:4

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Dailey Hill Cemetery with Brad Sims officiating. Friends of the family are welcome to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. to follow in procession to the cemetery. Online register book at www.wilsonfuneralhome.com.
