Ms. Reba June DePriest Sharpe, 92, of Linden, passed away Tuesday July 29, 2025 at AHC Decatur County. She was born in Perry County to the late Grady Jones DePriest and Minnie Woodford DePriest. Reba was the sixth of twelve children. She married James "Stooter" Sharpe in February of 1953. They had one daughter in 1955, Janice Lynn, who died in infancy. Reba never had anymore children of her own, but spoiled rotten her numerous nieces, nephews, neighbor children or any other kids she came in contact with.

She was a supervisor for many years at Red Kapp Industries in Lobelville and retired from Johnson Controls in Linden, where she had a host of friends.

After the death of her husband, she lived with her niece Sue Richardson and her husband Eddie. For the last couple of years she resided at AHC Decatur County where she could be the social butterfly that she was. She loved all the residents and staff there and they truly loved her.

In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband James "Stooter" Sharpe, a daughter Janice Lynn Sharpe, siblings Scott DePriest, Nell Gean, Kathy Heath, June Marshall, Clyde DePriest, Cooper DePriest, Edith Ginther and Yvonne Siegmund.

Survivors include two sisters, Wanda Ivins and Joan Wood, a brother Gene DePriest and a host of other loving nieces, nephews and many, many friends.
