Reba "Jean" Starcher, 77 years of Ripley, WV went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 22, 2025.
She will be lovingly remembered by her 2 sons Roger(Magda) and Rodney(Nicky); 3 grandchildren Brayden, Jillian, and Liliana; 1 sister Ruth Owens, and numerous family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Roger Lee Starcher; her parents John and Ethel Lawson; 3 brothers John, Roy, and Ray Lawson; 3 sisters Opal Gleason, Mable Criner, and Wanda Webb.
Jean was a member of Grasslick Baptist Church. She spent her life dedicated to helping others as a Lab Tech at Jackson General Hospital. She loved sewing, cooking, and listening to sermons online. But there was nothing she loved more than her grandkids. They were the apple of her eye. One of her favorite activities was driving around Ripley with them. Once you met Jean, you were never a stranger. She took the time to get to know every person she met. She loved those in her life fiercely. She was truly a Proverbs 31 woman and an example to us all.
A service will be held at Waybright funeral home on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 with visitation held from 11 until the time of the service. Pastor Alan Owens will be officiating the service with a burial to follow at the Fairplain cemetery. Online memories and condolences can be sent to the family by visiting www.waybrightfuneralhome.com
