I still miss you till this day. You were always there when I was growing up. Such an amazing woman and I was blessed to say that I had a grandma who was truly an angel on earth. Your heart so big and full of love. You taught me how to be a good father, family member, and friend to those in my life. I still find myself waiting to sit next to you for hours and laugh and joke. So many memories I have that will stay with me forever. You are truly missed and loved. Fly high my Queen, I will see you when my work is done here. Love you Grandma Mere!
Mrs. Mendez is survived by her daughters: Juana Barocio Mendez, Antonia Mendez, and Guadalupe Mendez; by her grandchildren: Albert Reyes, Rebeca Reyes, Pablo Reyes,
Johnny Zepeda, and Eddie Zepeda, Tony Ortiz, Leticia Ortiz, Mayra Ortiz, Jose Moreno, Griselda Moreno, Joshua Moreno, Gil Rojas, Guadalupe Rojas, Rosie Navarro, Ricardo Nuno, Carlos Nuno, Carolina Nuno, and Amanda Castro.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 18, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, at Healey Mortuary, 405 N. Sanborn Road in Salinas. Friends are invited to attend an 11 am funeral Mass at St. Theodore Catholic Church in Gonzales, Wednesday, April 19, 2023, with a committal service to follow the Mass at Gonzales Cemetery.
