Rebecca E. Bernard

GROVETON – Rebecca E. Bernard, 71, of Lost Nation Road, died of a sudden illness at her home on Wednesday evening, October 11, 2023.
Rebecca was born in Lancaster on September 17, 1952, the daughter of Ralph Everett Hersom and Clara May Ball Gregory.
She was a longtime homemaker, and her favorite time was with her littles and at camp. She found joy in sharing kindness with all who needed some. She spent many hours in her craft room with fabric, paint, even buttons. She also enjoyed many hours reading and watching shows. Rebecca opened her heart and home to over 125 foster children who she took in as her own.
Surviving family members include her husband Uldric "Jack" Noel Bernard of Groveton; her daughters and their families, Jana Rand and husband Bill of Northfield, NH and their children Aiyannah & Salina Brown and Kyle & Nicole Rand; Julie Kimball and husband Wayne of Tilton, and their children Adreanna & Devin & Makena Kimball; siblings Nathan Hersom and wife Christine of Sanbornton, NH, Kathi Mitchell and spouse Ken of Texas, Jennifer Hersom & Ashalyn & Karli, Jim Gregory and wife Elieen of Burke, VT, Rev. John Gregory and wife Susan of Meriden, NH; and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased relatives include her parents, Ralph and Clara; a brother Craig Hersom; and two stepfathers, Oscar Melfaent and Rev. John "Jack" Gregory.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
