Rebecca Cadwell Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home - Broadus on Dec. 11, 2025.
Rebecca J. Cadwell, age 52, of Ridge

July 19, 1973 – December 9, 2025

Rebecca Jane Plummer Cadwell was born and raised in Selma, Alabama, where she developed the strong faith, creativity, and love for family that defined her life. She was the beloved daughter of Hazel Plummer and the late Hugh Plummer, who preceded her in death in 2018.

Becky is survived by her mother, Hazel Plummer; her brother, Christopher Plummer, and his wife, Linda; her sister, Amy Harrington, and her husband, Bo; her niece, McKinley Harrington; and her nephew, Seth Harrington. She was a devoted sister, aunt, and friend, deeply cherished by her family.

A lifelong learner, Becky attended the University of Richmond on a full academic scholarship, a testament to her dedication and intellect. She later worked at Northwest Indian Bible College, where her commitment to faith-based education and service touched many lives.

Becky married Eugene Cadwell January 20, 2017 in a beautiful ceremony in Rapid City, South Dakota. She and Gene lived in Montana on the ranch that has been in Gene's family for generations. Becky learned many new skills and became quite accustomed to the ranch life.

Becky also faithfully served with Spring Creek Indian Holiness Camp, where she played an active role in planning children's Bible school and assisted in the running and management of the camp. Her heart for children and ministry was evident in all she did, and her efforts left a lasting impact on the camp community.

In her personal life, Becky found joy in crafts, canning, and trying new recipes. She loved spending time traveling with Gene and took great delight in caring for and playing with her beloved dog, Anchor. These simple but meaningful pleasures reflected her nurturing spirit and appreciation for life's everyday blessings.
Becky will be remembered for her kindness, her servant's heart, and her unwavering faith. Her life was one of quiet dedication, love, and purpose, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
