Rebecca Dixson

Rebecca "Becky" Rachel (Caron) Dixson, of Springfield, passed away peacefully at Leavitt Family Jewish Home on December 27, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was 71 years old. Becky was born on June 13, 1954, in Ludlow, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late George E. and Phyllis (Fielder) Caron. She was a graduate of Commerce High School in Springfield. Becky was employed by the City of Springfield as an Accountability Specialist and retired after many years of dedicated service. Outside of work, she enjoyed many creative hobbies, including ceramic crafts and Swedish weaving. She had a fond love for frogs and cherished collecting frog-themed items. Above all else, Becky deeply loved her family and held her faith close to her heart. In addition to her parents, Becky was predeceased by her former husband, Ronnie Dixson. She is survived by her loving partner of 39 years, Willie A. Washington of Springfield; her four devoted daughter's Rachel Dixson-Sutton of Springfield, Ronda Dixson of Chicopee, Brittany Walas and her husband Zachary of Enfield, Connecticut, and Kendra Washington of Springfield. She also leaves; her sister, Pamela Skura and her husband Theodore of Ludlow. Her adored grandchildren, Kesean, Cameron, Damone, Jayden, and Mia' ; and her cherished great-granddaughter, Amari. She also leaves behind her beloved cousin Mary Gadoua of Springfield. Becky will be lovingly remembered by her extended family and many dear friends. Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street, Springfield. A funeral home service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private.
