Rebecca Kramer Ebert

Rebecca Greenfield Kramer Ebert Rebecca Flora Kramer Ebert, age 80, passed away October 4, 2022. Rebecca was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on January 12, 1942 to Herbert and Rosanna (Rauch) Kramer. She was a 1960 graduate of Greenfield High School and attended Indiana University.

Rebecca worked in the Hospitality industry for over 30 years as Director of Sales and Marketing for various major hotel chains. Her attention to detail and providing excellent service made her an asset to this industry that she loved so much. She was a member of Psi Iota Xi Sorority & served as President from 1973-1974. Rebecca was a loyal friend who loved spending time with her close group of Card Club friends from Greenfield High School, where she was proud to have been Head Majorette in her high school days. While working as an elevator attendant at H.P. Wasson and Company in downtown Indianapolis as a teenager, she was discovered by an agent and was a fashion model for years. Her beauty was more than skin-deep, though. She had a passion for helping animals and people in need; so much so that she kept care packages in her car to give to homeless people she would see. The greatest gifts Rebecca passed on to her loved ones were her examples of resilience and maintaining a sense of humor even in the most difficult times and through major health struggles.

She is survived by her daughter, Jill (Kent) McQueeney of Greenfield, and granddaughters, Cierra Ebert and Anna McQueeney. She was preceded in death by her son, Brent Ebert; parents, Rosanna and Herbert Kramer; brother, Robert Kramer; and nephew, Robert Kramer, Jr.

Visitation will be held at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory in Greenfield, Indiana on October 13 from 4:00-7:00pm. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, October 14 at Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church, 3447 S St Road 9, Greenfield, where Rebecca was a member. Pastor Steve Brackney will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Rebecca's honor to Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church, PAWS of Hancock County, and Kenneth Butler Memorial Soup Kitchen.
