Rebecca Ann Eiker

1944 - 2024

Rebecca Ann (Mumma) Eiker, 80, of Emmitsburg, MD passed away at Wellspan Gettysburg Hospital and went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 24th, 2024. Born on October 16th, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Charles William and Helen Mae (Harman) Mumma. She was the wife of Gilbert V. Eiker, Jr. and they were set to celebrate 57 years of marriage this December.

Rebecca graduated from Thurmont High School in 1962 and went on to graduate from Maryland Medical Secretarial School in Hagerstown, MD. She began working as a medical secretary for Walter Reed Army Medical Center and at Fort Detrick. She also worked at The National Emergency Training Center as a program supporter for a little over 20 years.

Rebecca enjoyed taking her children to Ocean City, MD and amusement parks when they were young. She always made the holidays and birthdays extra special and absolutely adored her family. She loved snowmen and cardinal birds. Rebecca will be missed tremendously.

She is survived by her children Brian Eiker and his wife Jen, Barry Eiker, and Erin Eiker; her granddaughter Megan Eiker; her brother Ronald and his wife Charity. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandson Andrew C. Eiker.
