Rebecca Lee "Becky" Hartman, 76, of Latrobe, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Independence Health System Westmoreland Hospital. She was born Oct. 6, 1948, in Greensburg, to the late Charles and Gertrude "Trudi" (Hines) Hartman. Becky was a registered nurse and professor at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She received her baccalaureate degree in nursing from Duquesne University, her master's degree from the University of Pittsburgh, and her PhD from Columbia University. Becky was a proud member of Sigma Theta Tau - International Honor Society of Nursing - and Latrobe Community Ministries. Becky is survived by her cousins, Lois Springer and David Humphrey; other family from around the country; a companion cat, Lovey; and many special friends. You know who you are. Family and friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at the FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe, PA 15650. A funeral service will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 10, 2025, in the funeral home, with Pastor Chris Morris officiating. Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
