Rebecca Lynn Grimes was born August 22, 1953 in Rogers, Arkansas to parents J.D. Grimes and JoAnne Vogt Grimes. On November 22, 1982, Rebecca married Richard Kinkade in Vernon, Texas. She worked in the home and loved taking care of her family. Rebecca and Richard were active in foster care, helping raise many children as their own over the years. She was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church and enjoyed helping wherever needed, especially with the youth. In her free time, she enjoyed crafting, crocheting and decorating. She also loved gardening and would often spend long periods of time tending to her plants. In addition to that, Rebecca was a great cook and baker and loved feeding her loved ones and friends. Rebecca also loved animals and was known to rescue any cat in need. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Jonathan Mark Grimes, Sr.
Mrs. Kinkade is survived by her husband Richard Kinkade of Breckenridge; four children, Julie Fair and husband Jon of Abilene, Josie Garcia of Merkel, Jim Kinkade and wife Jennifer of Waseca, Minnesota, Kenisha Hill of Dallas; five grandchildren, Jordan Fair, Arianna Garcia, Bella Garcia, Abby Garcia, Trystin Kinkade and wife Emily; one nephew, Jon Grimes of Vernon; eight great grandchildren, Emmett Kinkade, Hudson Kinkade, Devin Garcia, Josiah Garcia, Isaiah Rubio, Mateo Rubio, Miguel Nevejas, Lexi Nevejas, and one on the way, Gabriel Beck Rubio.
Memorials may be made to Harmony Family Services, Taylor Jones Humane Society, Ben Richey Boys Ranch or to the First Methodist Church Food Pantry and may be left at Morehart Mortuary. Condolences may be made online at www.morehartmortuary.net.
