Rebecca Marie Long, 38, of Mayflower AR, went to her heavenly home on January 12, 2025, surrounded by her family.
She is preceded in death by her Papaw, Gene Evans, Grandmother, Maxine Manley, her Aunt Sharon Selby, and Uncle Joe Selby.
She is survived by her husband Patrick Long, and sons Evan Long, and Blake Long all of Mayflower, niece Kendel Thornton whom Becca helped to raise as her own.
She is also survived by her parents Huey and Karen Manley and by her grandmother, Gailya Evans, who cared lovingly for her during her illness, all of North Little Rock, Grandfather Jimmy Manley of Bryant, her sister Jeanie Westfall (Chris), and niece Kendel Thornton, of Cabot, brother Michael Manley (April), and niece Maryann Manley and nephew Michael Ace Manley Jr. all of Sherwood, and countless relatives and friends.
Rebecca was a devoted wife, mother, sister, friend and daughter. She had a soft heart for children and dogs. She always wanted to be sure both were taken care of. She never met a dog she didn't want to take home. She has passed that on to her son. She took great pride in her son Evan, and no matter how bad she was feeling, she was at his games to cheer him on, and at the school to see him get his awards.
She will be greatly missed every day. We are thankful to God for every minute we had with her, and for the memories we made to see us through. We take comfort in knowing that her pain is over and she is at rest in the arms of Jesus.
Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life at 1:00 PM, Friday January 17, 2025 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mayflower Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tommy Long, Jaxon Sheeley, Michael Lee, Patrick Burney, Andrew Burney and Kendel Thornton. Honorary Pallbearers are John Wilforg and Evan Long.
