Rebecca Poler Obituary
She was born on April 13, 1954 in Pine Ridge, SD the daughter of Paul and Donna (Redbow) Firesteel.
Becky enjoyed traveling when she was young, even having the opportunity to go to Washington D.C. with AIM years ago. She was a very kind, thoughtful and generous wife, sister, auntie, grandmother, mom, friend and relative to all. Becky loved to visit family and friends and sharing stories. She enjoyed beading, cooking and was a great cookie and candy maker.
May Becky's spirit find peace, eternal solace and happiness on her journey to the ancestors who watch over us. Let us celebrate her life with gratitude and memories for the time she shared and the love she gave. As we move forward, may we hold her close in our hearts, embracing the love of her family and friends. Have a beautiful journey to the Spirit World. Farewell dear Becky, until we meet again in the stars above, Rest In Peace.
Survived by Daughter Rachel Lynn Poler, Grandchildren Travis Lumbar Jr, Tela Lumbar and Trinity Lumbar. Also survived by Brothers Richard (Pat) Knight and Jay Redbow; Sisters Lori Firesteel, Kelly Firesteel and Donna Firesteel Jr.; Numerous Nieces and Nephews; Special Niece Penny Firesteel; many other relatives and friends.
Preceded in Death by her Husband, James (Jim) Poler; Brothers, Franklin Firesteel, and Jamie Firesteel; Sister Joni Firesteel; Nieces, Jean Seymour and Lynn Knight; Nephew, Ohiyesa Firesteel.
All-Night Wake will be held at All Saints Church, 3044 Longfellow Ave, Mpls. on Monday August 14, 2023 beginning at 4:00pm. The funeral will be held at All Saints Church on Tuesday, August 15 at 9:00 AM. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at 1:00 PM – Assembly Area #2.
Casket Bearers will be Edward Yellowhammer II, Travis Lumbar Jr., Jay Redbow, Joseph Firesteel, Tristin Firesteel and Lacy Bissonette.
