Rebecca Simms Smith

Mrs. Frankie Rebecca (Little-Bit) Smith, age 85, of LaGrange, Georgia passed away November 25, 2025. Mrs. Smith was born on August 18, 1940, in Chambers County, Alabama to Jim Frank Sr. and Ludie Ward Simms. She loved and faithfully served the Lord. Mrs. Smith was a founding member of Grace Baptist Church, where she faithfully served and gave generously of her time. Her heart truly shone in her service to others, and she found her greatest joy in decorating the church-especially at Christmas, when she spent countless hours ensuring every detail was perfect. Her creativity and dedication brought joy to everyone who visited the church during the holidays.

Mrs. Smith was loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother. Survivors include her daughter, Joanie L. Henderson and her husband Tony Henderson, son Charles B. Smith Jr. and his wife Angie Smith; grandchildren, Brooke Kinney and her husband Jacob Kinney, Chase Henderson and his wife Katie Henderson, Chad Smith, Drew Smith, Grant Smith and his wife Kaylee; great grandchildren, Kaden Kinney, Harper Grae Kinney, Bentley Henderson, and Reynolds Henderson. She also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family, and close family friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Benjamin Smith of 64 years, five brothers- James, Harold, Jim Frank, Walt and Duck Simms; four sisters- Dorothy Benson, Carolyn Ives, Sara Flangan, and Marion Owens; and a lifelong friend who was like a sister, Eva Montgomery.

The family will receive visitors on Sunday, November 20, 2025, from 2:00-3:00 at Grace Baptist Church in LaGrange, Georgia. A Celebration of Life will follow at 3:00 pm with Rev. Donnie Benefield, Rev. Jimmy McMillian, and Rev. Jimmy Pruitt officiating. Interment to follow at Shadowlawn Cemetery.
