"God has a Way that's Mighty Sweet"

Rebecca Martin Stewart was born July 3, 1955, in Anderson, SC at Anderson Memorial Hospital. She transitioned this life in the comfort of her home with her sister by her side, in the presence of our Lord on July 19, 2025. Rebecca was a proud graduate of Westside High School, class of 1973. She then attended Greenville Technical College for two years.

Rebecca was a faithful member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church where she sang on the Gospel Choir. She was an usher for a while and loved attending Sunday School. Rebecca's favorite hobby that she enjoyed most was shopping. That resulted in a vast shoe collection.

Rebecca was affectionately called "Bacca" by her family and "Beck" by her friends and co-workers. She retired from Electrolux with over 25 years of service.

Rebecca leaves behind to cherish her precious memories, her son, Jacobi Stewart; one brother, Phillip Dewayne Hambrick (Karen Geridot) of Toledo, OH; one sister, Anthonette Martin-Bowman; one brother-in-law, John Calvin Bowman of Anderson, SC; a niece reared in the home, Danielle Hambrick-Collier (Jacleste) of Anderson, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her father, Early Martin; her mother, Sallie Mae Hambrick; her husband, Richard Stewart of Greenville, SC.

The service for Mrs. Stewart will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025, at 11:00 am at Salem Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church's cemetery.

Public Viewing: Sunday, July 27, 2025, at The Unity Mortuary of Anderson from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm.

The family is at 222 Windemere Way, Anderson, SC.
