Redia Rashee (Speller) Lawanson, 29, of Georgia, gained her "Halo and Wings" on Saturday, January 25, 2025, after being diagnosed with Lupus and later Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS) which she was recovering from after being hospitalized due to loosing unexpected mobility of her body.
Redia made her GRAND entrance into the world on June 20, 1995, to Redina Speller and Alexander Ghee Manning, Sr in
Williamston, NC. Redia attended Martin County Schools during her early years of education. After Redia graduated from Riverside High School in 2013, she went on to study Business Fashion and Marketing at UNC-Greensboro. Redia's goal was to become a Fashion Buyer and Stylist, sit alongside fashion designers and runways internationally. Also, Redia dreamed of opening and operating an Elder Care Facility in memory of her great-grandmother, the late Ruth J Speller.
Redia found a love that was unconditional and became Mrs. Lawanson in 2018. Redia and her husband, Genesis was a creative team. Together they created videography and styling content, modeling photo shoots, and daily documentaries throughout their journey together. Redia and Genesis were gifted the presence of their daughter, "Bloom" October 2019 who became their world. Redia could not wait to watch Bloom grow and blossom into an innovative child. Motherhood had become an easy task for Redia which exemplified her patience. Redia was able to nurture and care for Bloom even during her medical condition. Bloom cheered her mommy on along the way encouraging her to keep pushing everyday as she displayed progress in gaining mobility.
Redia was a remarkable person with a soul beyond her time. Redia had a gift of calmness and serenity. Her charisma was genuine and never had a bias towards others. Redias generosity had no limits. Redia lived life to the fullest. Redia was one of a kind and loved by all. Redia enjoyed going to the beach, aquariums and spending time with her family. Redias laughter and smile was captivating like the sunshine reflecting unto a rainbow. Redias energy was contagious and brightened any room she entered.
Redias aspiration was to be the best role model to her siblings knowing they would look up to her for guidance. Once diagnosed Redia felt saddened knowing she would not be around for continued support towards her little sister, Precious, and Brooklynn.
