Reece Hunter Hogan, 32, of Austin passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 9, 2025; and went home to be with his Lord and Savior.

Reece was born on November 9, 1993, in Austin to Ray and Wendy Hogan. He was the proud big brother to his only sister, Rilee Hogan; and an incredible father to Hunter Jax Hogan.

Reece’s greatest joy in life was being a father; he was an amazing daddy to the true love of his life, Hunter Jax Hogan, his only son. Their bond was rare and unmistakable and will never be broken. Reece cherished every single moment he had with his boy and the countless times they shared together. Their connection was built on profound love, trust, and protection. When Reece talked about Hunter, he had the biggest, brightest smile and he wanted nothing more than for Hunter to grow up knowing that his daddy loved him deeply. Hunter was Reece’s purpose in life, his motivation, and his strength. Anyone who knew Reece knew how proud he was to be Hunter’s daddy. They loved each other fiercely and unconditionally. Through memories they made and the love that Reece poured into his son’s life, Reece will always be in Hunter’s heart.

Reece was a kind person. He had a contagious laugh that could fill any room. He had a playful side and loved turning these moments into memories. He walked into a room of strangers and instantly became friends with those around him. Those who truly knew Reece know that family meant everything to him. Reece also had an extreme joy for the outdoors, hunting, fishing and the open road on his Harley.

Reece had many talents; he had a remarkable gift for fixing anything. His skill with tools was second to none, yet, his greatest career passion was boat fabrication. A craft he dedicated most of his adult life to. Reece also loved to play the guitar and sing with family and friends. Above all else, he was always willing to help others; he had a heart gold. All of these attributes and more are what makes Reece unforgettable. Reece’s talents and his generous spirit touched many lives, and he will be remembered always and forever in our hearts.

Reece was preceded in death by Judy Ford (Nano), Birdie Eskew (Memaw), and Sammy Eskew Sr. (Papa). And many others who went before him. Reece is survived by his parents, Ray and Wendy Hogan; sister, Rilee Hogan; his son, Hunter Jax Hogan; his daughter Everleigh. Also survived by aunts and uncles, and many first cousins who all loved him so much.

A private visitation for the family will be held November 18, 2025, 6-8pm. Funeral services will take place at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. All services will be held at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor, TX. Burial - Taylor City Cemetery.
