Thereafter, he served in the Army Reserve until April 2, 1960. He was a member of Altenthal-Joerns American Legion Post 158 in Jackson.

Quentin retired from Southwestern Bell after 38 years of employment. He was an avid sports fan, always following the Jackson Indians, St. Louis Cardinals, and the Kansas City Chiefs.

To cherish his memory, Quentin leaves his wife of 70 years, Mary Jo Hueter of Jackson; three children, Rick Hueter of St. Louis; Ron (Ona) Hueter of Bastrop, Texas; Lesli (Jerry) Golden of Jackson; two grandchildren, Sam Hueter and fiancé Kayla Eckert of Dallas, Texas, and Elise Hueter of Austin, Texas; a brother, Rhuman (Wilma) Hueter of Festus, Missouri; four sisters, Eunice Francis, Beverly Johns, and Phyllis Phillips of Marble Hill, Jennis Benefield of McClure, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Forrest Hueter; and two sisters, Doris May Hueter and Gladys Marjorie Garland.
