Sally Tandy Johnson

Sally Tandy Johnson, 77, of Millersville, died Friday, January 30, 2026.

Born July 30, 1948, in Columbia, Missouri, to Bert Banks and Gladys (Tandy) Wagener, Sally was raised in Fulton, graduated from Fulton High School, and subsequently earned an accounting degree at Central Methodist University in Fayette, Missouri. She enjoyed a lifelong career in business administration.

Sally married Jim Johnson on February 11, 1971, in Blytheville, Arkansas, where they resided several years before returning to Millersville.

Loving survivors include her husband of nearly 55 years, Jim Johnson; children, Ashley (Joe) McGuinness of Miami; Craig (Kathy) Johnson of Los Angeles; Jimmy (late Mary) Johnson of Jackson; a brother, Bert Banks (late Matilda “Tillie”) Wagener of Louisville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and Jim’s parents, Floyd and Iva B. (Cobble) Johnson.

In keeping with Sally’s wishes, the Rev. Sam Roethemeyer conducted a private service at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson, and New Salem Cemetery in Daisy.
