Gregory “Greg” Allen Gohn, 68, of Jackson, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau.
He was born June 14, 1957, at St. Charles, Missouri, to David and Glenda Propst Gohn. He and Patricia “Pat” Strack were married February 14, 1976, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson, where their membership remains.
Greg worked over 30 years for AT&T, retiring in 2008.
Greg’s grandchildren were the light of his life, and he especially enjoyed taking them to Disney World. He also liked hunting and cutting wood.
To cherish his memory, he leaves his wife of nearly 50 years, Pat Gohn of Jackson; sons, Bryan Allen (Tara) Gohn of Jackson and Justin (Laura) Gohn of Lake Wales, Florida; grandchildren: Josey, Layla, and Lylah Gohn of Jackson, and Ariel Gohn of Lake Wales; his father, David Gohn of Jackson; siblings, Gary (Patty) Gohn of Jackson, Larry (Diane) Gohn of Winter Haven, Florida, Robyn Gohn Farrar (Patrick Kaelin) of Jackson; and several nieces and nephews.
Pat’s surviving family includes her mother, Stella Strack of Cape Girardeau; sisters, Carol (Peter) Lehmann of Marble Hill; Kathy Carlton of Jackson; Teresa (Craig) Brenner of Omaha, Nebraska; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Glenda Gohn; and Pat’s father, Kenneth Strack.
A memorial visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Saturday, February 14, 2026, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson. The Rev. Joshua Schmidt will conduct a memorial service at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, at the Church.
If considering a memorial contribution, the family suggests St. Paul Lutheran Church.
