It is with immeasurable sadness that we announce the passing of Regina (Genie) Knight Bagliani, decades long resident of Cockeysville on the 18 of October after a most courageous battle against Lymphoma. She is preceded in death by her husband, John (Jack) Bagliani III whom departed in 2002; her parents Richard and Sabina Knight and John Jr and Audrey Bagliani. She was the most cherished mom to Justin Bagliani, Kate Long (Josh), Paige Bagliani (Alex) and Anne Markiewicz (Danielle). Born in Baltimore on July 24, 1956, she was a member of Notre Dame Preparatory class of 1974. Genie spent her life doing the things she loved the most. This included being a devoted mom to her four children during their early years followed by teaching kindergarten classes at St Paul's Lutheran Church in Lutherville. She then worked diligently to obtain her Bachelor's degree at Stevenson University, known at the time as Villa Julie College and went to work at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine as a grant administrator until she retired in July of 2019. Genie was first diagnosed with an aggressive form of Lymphoma immediately following her retirement and beat it into remission shortly after. After nearly 40 years at her home in Springdale, Genie moved down to Suffolk, Virginia to be close to her grandchildren. While there, she was a doting Nana to Jack, 3 ½ and Amelia, 8 months. Her untimely loss will be felt beyond measure but her children will spend their lifetimes passing along her legacy of unending love that she had for all in her life.

Alongside her children and grandchildren, Genie's loss will be felt immensely by her siblings and in-laws, Judi Knight, Ric Knight (Jan), Trish Jaron (Walt), David Knight (Meg), Ed Bagliani (Amy), Mary Schaefer, Barbara Clary (Steve), and Joanne Bagliani. She also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Genie was the embodiment of love and light until her final moments. She was someone who had an unmatched sense of humor and could magnify the smallest joys in life.

Her children will welcome friends at the family-owned Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 York Rd., on Monday, October 27, 2025, from 11am-3pm. A celebration of life reception will be held at Liberatores Restaurant, 9515 Deereco Rd., Timonium, MD 21093 following the visiting hours, beginning at 3:30pm . All are welcome.

In lieu of flowers, please direct any financial contributions in Genie's name to the Meidas Touch Organization or the Lymphoma Research Foundation.
