A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Regina Evelyn Burgess, 98, of Bossier, LA, will be held at 2:00PM Saturday, July 26, 2025, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe with Rev. James Doughty officiating. Interment will follow in Epps Cemetery in Epps, LA. Visitation will be from 1:00PM until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Burgess was born on October 18, 1926, in Shreveport, LA, to the union of Jessie and Eula Gilbert and passed away at Cypress Point Rehabilitation Center in Bossier on Wednesday, July 23, 2025.

Mrs. Burgess was a woman of faith, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a friend to many. She was a treasure and will be deeply missed by her family and those blessed to know her. Mrs. Burgess was a member of First Baptist Church in Monroe. She worked for Judy Martin Sales for over 15 years. Mrs. Burgess was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Eula Gilbert; her beloved husband of 70 years, Roy Burgess; son, Gilbert Royce Burgess; sisters, Velma Gilbert, Otha Lee Copes, and Jessie Inez McCain; grandson, Barry Burgess; and granddaughter, Anna Regina Burgess.

Survivors include her devoted sons, Kenneth Burgess, Gawan Lyle Burgess (Sherrie), and Jeffrey Lane Burgess (Donna). She also leaves a host of grandchildren, great- grandchildren, great -great grandchildren, and as well as many dear friends and family.

Pallbearers will be Chad and Scott Burgess, Todd and Troy Burgess, Rance Greer, and Allen Martin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home.
