Regina Corvin Obituary

Regina Annette Hill Corvin, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully in Chattanooga, TN, on January 14, 2025, at the age of 78. She was born on May 9, 1946, in Dayton, TN, the first daughter of Ceamon and Katherine (Killough) Hill. Regina was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Mary Katherine Hill Travis.

Regina's family were founding members of St. Bridget's Catholic Church. Regina was the first child to be baptized, make her First Communion, and be confirmed there. Over the years, Regina served on the parish council and was a member of the Council of Catholic Women. At the time of her passing, she was the longest continuous member of the church.

Regina graduated from the Career Training Institute in Chattanooga as a computer keypunch operator. Afterwards, she began her career at DuPont in 1969, working for over 33 years in numerous human resource positions before retiring in 2002. Later in life, she and her husband, Jerry, became the owners and presidents of Corvin Hill rental properties.

Known for her warm, outgoing personality, Regina loved spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her devoted husband, Gerald "Jerry" Wayne Corvin; her only daughter, Katherine "Annette" (Pete) Whitaker of Knoxville, TN; and her granddaughter, Katherine "Katie" Renee Whitaker. She is also survived by her bonus sons, Jonathan Wayne Corvin of Arkansas, and Jason William (Carrie) Corvin of Dayton, TN, along with granddaughters Miley Alesa Corvin, Hailey Alexa Corvin, and Emily Brianne Corvin. Regina also adored her nieces and nephew: Kimberly Ann (Daryl) Runyan and their children, Vincent Kyle and Brooklynn Paige Runyan; Robert "Roby" Donald Travis; and Katherine "Kathy" LaDon (Randy) Garrison and their children, Benjamin Travis and Levi Riley Garrison.

Visitation was held at Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 21, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
