Regina Joy Hunter, a bright light in the lives of many, was born on September 30, 2004, in California. She brought joy and laughter to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on this earth came to a tragic end on December 8, 2025, in Troy, Texas. Though her time with us was far too short, her impact will undoubtedly be felt for years to come.
A proud graduate of Troy High School, Regina excelled in academics and fostered countless friendships throughout her educational journey. Her spirit was as vibrant as the gospel music she cherished, and her laughter could fill a room, just like her favorite show, Spongebob Squarepants, could bring smiles to the faces of those around her. Regina had a unique ability to connect with others, always finding the silver lining in every situation and encouraging her loved ones to find joy, no matter the circumstances.
Regina was a beloved daughter to both Bill Hunter and Angela Hunter. She shared an unbreakable bond with her brothers, Dalton Hunter and Willie Hunter, both of Troy, along with her sisters, Janie Hunter of Troy, Jazmin Chatterton of Kempner, and Angel Watson of Houston. Each member of her family carried a special piece of Regina in their hearts, and she will be sorely missed by all.
A memorial service to honor Regina's life will be held on December 23, 2025, at Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Belton, Texas. The service will commence at 10:00 AM, allowing friends and family to gather and celebrate the beautiful soul that Regina was.
Though the world may feel a little dimmer without Regina's radiant spirit, her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her dearly. As we remember her fondly, may we also strive to embody the joy and kindness she so effortlessly shared during her time with us.
