Regina "Jean" A. Williams (nee Traut)

Sheffield Lake - Regina "Jean" A. Williams (nee Traut), 89, lovingly known as Momma Jean, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2026. She was born April 24, 1936 to Charles and Mary A. (nee Donohue) Traut. She attended St. Anthony's and graduated from Elyria Catholic High School Class of 1953. In her early career she worked as a medical assistant then later worked for the Ohio Division of Liquor Control.

She enjoyed dancing, walking, bicycling, bowling, and spending time admiring Lake Erie. Regina was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians/Guardians and loved playing word and board games. Nothing in life was more important to her than her family.

Regina was preceded in death by her loving husband, Henry J. Williams; daughters, Caroline and Laura; and siblings, Larry, Mary Ann, Charlie, and Cathy.

She is survived by her children, Denise (Paul) Edwards, Jeff Williams, and Natalie (Greg) Mitchell; grandchildren, Jason, David, Alyssa, Tommy, Collin, and Evan; brother, Tom (Anne) Traut; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home, 2150 Broadway, Lorain, OH (440) 244-1961 on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM. Closing prayers will be held at the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle, 715 Harris Rd., Sheffield Lake, OH with Fr. Stephen L. Shields, Pastor, officiating. Christian Burial services will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain immediately following mass.
