STOW - Reginald G. Best, 89, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2025.
Born in Akron, he was a lifetime area resident and a U.S. Army veteran. Reginald retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in 1995, after 29 years of service and was a longtime member of The Chapel in Akron. Reggie was a car enthusiast and enjoyed buying them and working on them. He also loved 50s music.
Preceded in death by his wife, Judith Ann; parents, Reginald W. and Lena F. Best; and his sisters, JoAnn Tingle, Rosalie Weschke, Lois Morehead and Kathy Givens, he is survived by his daughters, Angela (Kenny) West, Pamela (Matt) Sellers and Regina (David) Streharsky; grandchildren, Alishia West (James Grimes), Tony (Danka) West, Emily (Mike) Mansfield, Alexis (Isaac) Machock and Luke Streharsky, as well as great-grandchildren, Julian Carvallo, Aleksandra West, Wyatt West, Guinevere Mansfield, Roman Grimes and Graham Mansfield.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, from 5 to 7 PM, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow 44224.
Pastor Paul Wides will conduct a private burial service in East Liberty Cemetery, where Reggie will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife, Judy, whom he has deeply missed for 29 years.
