Reginald F. “Peter” Labrecque Jr. of Reading passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023.  He was 75 years of age.

Born on Saturday, February 7, 1948, in Exeter, New Hampshire, Peter is the loving son of the late Reginald Labrecque and Beulah (Kolvig) Labrecque.  Peter was a warm, kind and gentle son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend who will be deeply missed.

Pete was raised in Newfields, NH and enlisted in the Army right out of high school.  When he returned from duty he originally settled in NH before eventually moving to CT by way of Vermont. After meeting his wife, Gayle, they decided to settle in Reading, MA, where they have spent the past 31 years. Pete was a natural born salesman both at work and in life.  He worked in the boat and liquor industry his entire career before retiring 7 years ago.

Pete was known for his sense of humor and his family and friends remember that most about him.  He was also an avid sports fan of the Patriots, Celtics and especially the Red Sox.

Peter proudly defended our freedom by serving as a SP5 in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. Most of his time was spent in Korea and he spent some time on the DMZ.

Peter is the beloved husband of Gayle Yotch,  He is the devoted father of Cameron Yotch, Kaeleigh Austen, Carrie Elderkin and Jarrett Labrecque.  The cherished grandfather of Sam Elderkin, Peter is the dear brother of Carol Fritz and her husband James, Matthew French and the late David Labrecque.  He is also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend Peter’s Funeral Service Celebrating his Eternal Life on Saturday, June 24th at 10am in the Doherty – Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden Street READING.  Parking attendants and elevator are available.  Interment with Military Honors will follow at Forest Glen Cemetery, Reading.  A reception will follow at the family home.
