Reginald Green Obituary
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 12:00 PM at the First Missionary Baptist Church located at 216 Wiley Street in Manchester, Tennessee 30355. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
The son of the late Parker Winward Lee Green and Betty Raye Sotherland Green Hickerson, he was born in Portsmouth, Virginia and spent part of his childhood in San Diego, California before settling in Manchester, Tennessee, where he was raised. He was baptized and remained a faithful member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Manchester, where he cherished his church family and pastors.
Reggie proudly served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. He lived life on his own terms and was known for his warm spirit, friendly nature, and ability to bring laughter to those around him.
Reggie leaves to cherish his memory his beloved son, Allen Joaquin (Nicole), and grandchildren, Adriel and Amiya, of Lutz, Florida; two loving brothers, Ray Anthony Green of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Rueben Keith Green of Jacksonville, Florida; and his devoted sister, Dorothea Justina "Tina" Simmons of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He is also survived by three aunts, Faye Sotherland Woodard of Cleveland, Ohio, Thelma Sotherland of Atlanta, Georgia, and Carrie Sotherland of Cleveland, Ohio; a devoted cousin, Robert LaWayne Sotherland, affectionately known as "Tiny"; loving cousins Dreena Virgette Sotherland Atala (Angel), both of Manchester, Tennessee, and Shirley "Bubba" Brinkley of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; special nieces Tiara Shanay Green of Lebanon, Tennessee, and Cardea Jevon Arline of Douglasville, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Robert Parker Green, paternal grandparents, Robert Parker Green and Lucille Daniels (Saul) and maternal grandparents, Archie and Camilla Sotherland. Additional family members, uncles, aunts, cousins and one niece preceded him in death.

Well brother in law ,I know you are happy now.. wrapped in the precious arms of your mother Betty Rae. You had the sweetest smile and the best heartfelt hugs. The last time I saw you you told me you altho you were in pain you made by day just by being you. Always trying to do thd right thing or say the right thing. Ill always miss you. Everyone will.
