Regis Hovan Obituary
Regis Michael Hovan, age 59, of East McKeesport, PA, peacefully passed away surrounded by his loved ones on Thursday, September 11, 2025. He was born in Bloomfield, PA, on January 6, 1966, and is the son of Phyllis Benaquista; and the late Regis Hovan.
Regis is survived by his wife Vera Hovan of East McKeesport, PA; children, Tiffany (Jesse Berkavich) Hovan; Kim Miller; and Richard (Jessica Vanhorn) Miller; grandchildren, Ethan; Mackenzie; Alivia; Conner; Morgan; Sidney; and Baileigh; brothers, Gary (Jennifer) Hovan; Mark Hovan; Keith (Carrie) Hovan; and David Hovan; step-brother, Marc (Kristina) Frediani; step-sister, Monique (Brian) McDaniel; step-mother, Thelma Hovan-Gates; step-father, Mario (Phyllis) Fredani; many nieces; nephews; and cousins.
In addition to his dad, Regis is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Madison Mae Miller.
Family and friends are invited to gather and honor Regis’s memory on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177).
Should friends desire, memorial contributions in Regis’s name may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
