Reina Darlene Martinez, age 62 a longtime resident of Las Vegas, NM passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024 in Las Vegas, NM.
She was born on February 22, 1961, to Roman and Maria Erlinda Martinez in Las Vegas, NM.
Reina loved her walks, visiting with family, road trips and her occasional trips to the casino with her friend Marylou Garcia, but most of all she loved taking care of other people especially her family. She enjoyed spending time with her Companion Elfie Chavez. She will be dearly missed by many.
She is preceded in death by her parents Roman and Maria Erlinda Martinez, father of her children Charles "Charro" Pacheco, uncles, Francisco "Kiko" Griego, Simon Griego and Roman Griego, aunt, Petra Gonzales, nieces, Amanda Martinez, Ernestine Martinez and Erlinda Martinez.
Reina is survived by her children: Charlene Pacheco fiancé Wayne, Samuel Pacheco wife Joann and Anthony Pacheco; grandchildren Charles Gonzales and Michael Pacheco that she raised as her own and Steven Pacheco; Companion of 23 years Elfie Chavez; siblings: Jose Martinez (Joann), Frances Martinez (Manuel) both of Las Vegas, NM, Cleo Martinez (Jose) of Colorado Springs, CO, Sandra Martinez of Colorado Springs, CO, Nash Martinez (Judy) of Mora, NM, Juanita Tarango (Ceaser) of Colorado Springs, CO, Bernie Martinez of Santa Rosa, NM and Marvin Martinez of Las Vegas, NM; numerous: nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; special friends: Marylou Garcia and Tanya Ackerman.
Cremation has taken place and Rosary will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 10:00am at Rogers Mortuary Chapel in Las Vegas, NM.
Burial of cremains will be held at a later date.
