Reinhard W. "Sonny" Wohlsdorf, Jr 82 of Coleraine, MN died on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, in the Emeralds in Grand Rapids, MN.
Born on December 23, 1940, in Toad Lake Township, Becker County, MN, he was the son of Reinhard and Mary (Taylor) Wohlsdorf Sr. He married Mary Lou Pickett in 1968. He worked for U.S. Steel for 33 years, served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. Sonny loved to camp, fish, hunt and garden. He loved to be outside. He was a mechanic working on cars. He was a "Jack of all trades", helping anyone with repair work. He was very sociable, always chatting with somebody. He enjoyed preparing firewood, cutting the tree down, blocking it, hauling it and burning it. He loved to hang out with the family and would enjoy a cold beer. He loved to travel around wherever the road would take him.
Survivors include his wife; May Lou Wohlsdorf, his children; Randy L. Wohlsdorf, Vanessa R. (Mark) Mattson, Misty L. Wohlsdorf, Stella B. Wohlsdorf and Sarah A. (Dan) Lofgren. His grandchildren; Ethan Mattson, James Foster, Elliot, Addison, Oliver, David, Destiny and Gabe Lofgren. His brothers; Earl Wohlsdorf, Kenneth Wohlsdorf, Paul Wohlsdorf and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, Brothers; Richard and Carl Wohlsdorf, Sisters; Rosemary and Caroline.
Celebration of Life will be from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM on Friday, September 8, 2023 in the Peterson Funeral Chapel of Coleraine. Interment will be in the Itasca-Calvary Cemetery in Grand Rapids, MN.
