Rella Suttles Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home, Inc. on Jan. 19, 2026.
Rella Mae Suttles, age 85, went home to be with her heavenly Father on January 15, 2026 at Golden Years Retirement Resort. She was born July 7, 1940, in Dayton, Tennessee, to the late Quay Leonard McKenzie Sr. and Naomi "Pat" McKenzie.

Rella was loved by all who had the privilege to know her. She loved and cared for her family fiercely and her love and faithfulness to her Lord and Savior were unmatched. She was employed at La-Z-Boy until her retirement.

She was also a faithful member and the treasurer of Fatih Baptist Church for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her brother Quay McKenzie Jr. Rella is survived by her children Missy (Randy) Stinnett and Jamie (Jennifer) Suttles; grandchildren Brandon Suttles, AJ (Jill) Youther, Alexa (Josh) Howard, Eli (Mackenzie) Suttles and Justin (Mollie) Stinnett; great grandchildren Brayleigh Suttles, Blakleigh Howard, Alyssa and Henry Stinnett and (coming soon) Noah Suttles; brother Harold (Vickie) McKenzie. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. And a very special cousin Brenda Hixson.

The family would like to add a special thanks to Kim (Mike) Fuson, Anna, Stephanie, Melissa, Tracy, Maggie and Glenda who loved and cared for our precious momma. They quickly became family and we will forever cherish them. Also, a special thank you to Rene Argo and Hearth Hospice for the love and care they provided for our mom.

Funeral services for Rella will be held on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home, with Bro. George Ashburn officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with the service following. Burial will follow at Rhea Memorial Garden.
