WELLINGTON- Mavis Renae Hill, age 94, passed away December 14, 2024, in Price, Utah.
Renae was born April 7. 1930, in Columbia, Utah to Clarence and Elisabeth Jorgensen Nelson.
She married Allen Wade Hill on November 18, 1947, in the Salt Lake Temple.
Growing up in the small town of Wellington, Renae and Wade formed cluse friendships in their school years that lasted throughout their lives. Camping with this group of friends was always a crazy adventure that included gourmet meals cooked over an open fire.
Renae’s greatest love was her family. Wade and Renae moved to California where she raised two sons, Rock and Ken and a daughter, Sherry. Her summers were busy running her two sons to their baseball games and practices. She loved every moment of it. While Renae was living in California, she developed a passion for motorcycle trips. Every weekend Renae and Wade would tour the state of California on the Harley.
She started traditions with her grandkids which included watching the superbowl every year at her house and on Christmas Eve everyone would gather to have her amazing chili at her place. Renae loved all of her grandchildren. Their countless pictures were scattered throughout her house.
Renae is survived by her daughter, Sherry (Leon) Davis; daughters-in-law, Theresa Hill, Darlene Atchison; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Wade Hill; sons, Rocky Hill and Ken Hill.
The family is grateful to the good people at Pinnacle Care Center for such wonderful care and attention given to Renae during her stay there. We also appreciate the good people who came to visit during her stay.
