Renato T. Samonte, age 76, of Rio Verde, AZ, passed away on January 16, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Deborah Foley, with whom he shared 20 years of marriage and 29 years of companionship.

Nat was born on May 5, 1949, in Manila, Philippines, to the late Melchor Samonte and Solimea Del A Torre. After graduating from Adamson University with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, he immigrated to the United States in 1971. While working toward his citizenship, he held various professional positions and earned numerous certificates and awards. He proudly became a U.S. citizen in 1989 and took great pride in his American identity.

Known for his expertise in cost accounting and manufacturing principles, Nat was equally respected by friends and family for his compassion, knowledge, patience, and humor. He had a love for the outdoors, especially hiking and tennis. He was a passionate competitive shooter and a regional champion in 600-yard and 1,000-yard F-Class shooting.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, AJ Samonte, and daughter-in-law, Tiffany Samonte; his cherished grandchildren, Cali, Cozi, and Beckham; and his sister-in-law, Marike Samonte. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Bertrand Foley; sister-in-law, Donna Foley; nieces and nephews, BJ Foley, David Foley, Steven Foley, Katina (nee Foley) Grand, Brianna Oppenheimer, and Jenna Oppenheimer; grandnephews, Jaime Foley and Theodore Foley; and grandniece, Juniper Foley. He was predeceased by his brother, Rolphe Samonte, and his first wife, Ting Samonte.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Rio Verde, AZ, and at his second home, the Boulder Pistol and Rifle Club in Nevada. Memorial Contributions may be made to Tunnels to Towers Foundation, https://t2t.org/
