Rene Martinez 66 Native of El Paso Texas, passed away on May 13, 2024. In Odessa Texas. Surrounded by loved ones.
Rene was born March 4, 1958 to Antonio and Angela Oporto Martinez in El Paso, Texas.He served in the Marine Corp, with various honors. He was an officer and member of the American Legion Post 430 here in Odessa TX.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Rene is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Tony, David and Albert Martinez.
Rene is survived by his wife Benita Martinez, and daughters Becky Rodriguez, Hilda Matta, and Susan Martinez, his siblings: Alfredo Martinez, Olga Martinez, Rosalinda Richmond, Danny Martinez, Bobby Martinez, Patsy Martinez, and Martin Martinez.
Rene also leaves to cherish his memory 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, and also 39 nieces and nephews.
Visitation is set for Thursday May 16, 2024 from 5PM-9PM at Martinez Funeral Home chapel.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
