Renee devoted her life to nurturing others, whether in the classroom, her garden, or the wider community. She spent over a decade volunteering in the first-grade classroom at Willow River Elementary School, touching the lives of countless students. Renee’s passion for education extended beyond school walls, as she inspired curiosity, kindness, and a lifelong love of learning in all who knew her.
Renee’s steadfast commitment to service was evident in every aspect of her life. She was a familiar and welcoming face at the St. Croix County Historical Society’s Octagon House, where she guided tours and shared the region’s rich history. Renee’s love for nature flourished through her work as a gardener, beautifying public spaces and sharing her knowledge with neighbors and friends. Her compassion shone through her mission sewing for First Presbyterian Church, where she crafted quilts and garments for those in need.
Above all, Renee found her greatest joy in her family, who filled her life with deep pride and happiness.
She will be greatly missed by her children Robert (Jennifer), Gregory (Cynthia), Alicia (Nate) Edin, Gretchen (Jay) Witthuhn; grandchildren Alexandra, Grace, Sydney, Honor, Tiger, Matthias, Nate Livermore, Sophia, Jack, Ava, Audrey, Miles, Georgia, Louis, Griffin, Ellie (Justin), Zachary (Heather); great-grandchildren Leighton, Lennon, Serene, Everest, Ruth, Abigail & Nora; step-children Barbara (Jeffrey) Gagnon, Charles (An) Snow.
