Renee’ Nola Brooks (née Vaughn), born October 19, 1957, left to be with her Lord on December 6, 2025. A beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend, Renee’ (affectionately known as Ne’ Ne’) worked as an operating room nurse at the University of New Mexico before becoming disabled. She is preceded in death by parents Jack Vaughn and Hazel Vaughn (Kayser) and sister Lynda Turner (Vaughn). She is survived by her three children: Ashley Wann (Brooks), Hunter Brooks, and Dusty Brooks; as well as by brother Marvin Vaughn and sister Ardath Owens (Vaughn), and numerous other family and friends. A service will be held at the Kayser Eastview Cemetery in Mountainair, NM in Spring, date TBD. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Animal Humane New Mexico in her honor.
