Renee Corrine Todd, 78, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born September 30, 1947, in
Bremerton, Washington, to John and Helen Griffin. Renee was the second oldest of eight children and carried that role with strength, devotion, and a deep sense of family throughout her life. She was raised in Philomath, Oregon and has resided the last fifty years in
Albany, Oregon.
Renee was preceded in death by her husband, N. Gerrell Todd; her parents, John and Helen Griffin; and her siblings Helen Young, Michelle Griebel, Mark Griffin, and Guy Griffin.
She leaves behind her loving children: David (Peggy) Barr, Micheal (Kelly) McDonald, and Sherry (Kyle) Miller. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Andrew, Stephanie, Ashley, Justin, Daryn, Hayden, Hannah, Nicole, Natalie, and Jack, and a cherished great-grandmother to Kira, Maddey, Avarie, Hunter, Piper, Justice and Deja. She is also survived by her brothers John and Jim Griffin and sister Carla Skaggs, along with many nieces, nephews, and countless others whom she loved as her own family.
Renee retired from Brookdale Senior Living after a fulfilling career serving as Executive Director, where she poured her heart into caring for seniors and supporting their families. She was also a well-known and beloved member of the community through her time owning the Chalet Restaurant and working at Sweet Water Family Restaurant. Renee cherished going out for coffee or lunch at Sweet Water's, where she could reconnect with longtime customers and spend meaningful time with family and friends.
Family meant everything to Renee. She was deeply committed to keeping her loved ones close, faithfully attending her grandchildren's sporting events, celebrating their milestones, and proudly "adopting" their friends as her own. Her home and heart were always open.
Renee was strong in her faith and boldly shared her love for Christ with those around her. Her family finds comfort in knowing she chose Him and now spends eternity in His presence.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, whose lives were forever touched by her love, strength, and unwavering devotion.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church. Refreshments will be provided.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes contributions to help cover unexpected funeral expenses.
