Renita McAbee

Ms. Renita McAbee passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2025, in Lansing, Michigan. Age 61 years. She was born October 28, 1963, in Kilmichael, Mississippi. The daughter of Leola and Charlie McAbee.

Renita moved to Lansing, Michigan in 1975. She attended Walter French Jr. High School and graduated from Sexton High School in 1983. Renita attended Bethlehem Temple Bread House church from the time she relocated here. She put her trust in God until the end. She worked for the Lansing Center, then worked at McLaren Hospital. Renita was very family oriented and we had weekly family time. She will be missed.

She leaves to cherish her memory son, Lamarcus Jermaine McAbee; stepson, Carlton; grandson, Trysten Thomas of Lansing, Michigan; parents, Leola and Charlie McAbee; sisters, Regina Ware, Yvonne Davis, Kendra McAbee, Towanda Mills, and Anita Shaw; brothers, Charles McAbee, James McAbee, Davies McAbee, and Charles Shaw; nieces, Toccara Ware, Shaquia Ware, Jameka McAbee, Shantoria Ware, Demitria McAbee, Mariah McAbee, Jamia Henrey, Davia McAbee, Brooklyn McAbee, and Jazlyn McAbee; nephews, Terrance McAbee, Martel McAbee, Little Tony Davis, Juwion McAbee, Brandon Ware, John Morrell, Kobe McAbee, Steven McAbee, James McAbee Jr., and Christifer McAbee; aunts, Rosetta Stokes, Dorothy Williams, and Mary Brown; many uncles; many cousins; sister-in-law, Gail McAbee; brothers-in-law, Jeffery Mills, Anthony Davis, and Mitch Bunce; and many other relatives, including special friends, Joann Spencer, Deon Allen, Tina Hill, Missy McAbee, and Kevelen Conner.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Rosie Flowers Sullivan; aunt, Burneice Flowers; and uncle, John Flowers.
