Mr. Retarnel Shaw, age 98, went to be with the Lord on Saturday August 2nd, 2025, at his home in Perry, Florida surrounded by his loved ones.

Mr. Shaw was born in O' Claire, Florida on June 24, 1927, to his parents John and Minnie Ellison Shaw. He was raised in Steinhatchee on the banks of the Steinhatchee river. Mr. Shaw worked at the Perry Base during WWII after which he began working as a truck driver hauling gas and diesel as well as delivering kerosene to many tobacco barns and homes. 28 years ago he met his wife Miriam Sussmann.

Mr. Shaw is preceded in death by his parents John William and Minnie Ellison Shaw; his first wife Margaret Shaw; brother Gordon Shaw; and his son Donald Shaw.

He is survived by his wife Miriam Shaw; brother John Shaw; brother-in-law Mark Sussmann (Elizabeth); sons Louis Shaw (Kathy) and Shelby Lee Shaw; daughter JoAnn Watts; Stepsons Henry B. Smith (Toni) and Jack E. Smith (Amanda); and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be Thursday August 7, 2025, at 11:00 am at First Assembly of God, 828 W Julia St Perry, FL 32347. Visitation will begin one hour prior at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Mingo Cemetery in Steinhatchee, Florida.
