Retired Army MSGT. Joe Thomas Terrell

Ret. MSGT Joe Thomas Terrell, age 85, of North Little Rock, Arkansas passed away May 10, 2025. He was born July 26, 1939 in Humphrey, Arkansas to the late JB and Erma Terrell.

Joe is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Terrell; daughters, Cindy Rush and Debbie Hutchinson; and his parents. He is survived by his sons, Scott Terrell (Linda), Brian Terrell, and Scott Rush; grandchildren, Brittney and Evann Terrell, Kyle and Matthew Pilkington, Kirston Jones, Jackie Heird, Kirk Turner, and Tyler Tutten, Ethan, Chad, Blake and Johnathon Rush, and many great-grandchildren; brother, Phil Terrell (Liz); sisters, Judy Terrell and Jayme Carter (Clifton); special friend, Evelyn Widman, nieces, nephews, son-in-law, Richie Hutchinson; and a host of family and friends.

Joe retired from the Arkansas National Guard after a 40-year career where he made many friends. He is a Desert Storm Veteran and was proud to be their First Sergeant and bring all of them home.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2025 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home (1921 Main Street). A graveside service with full military honors will be at 12:00 PM on Monday, May 19, 2025 at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
