Going home services for Rev. Bennie Bynog will be held at 10 am on Friday, January 19, 2024 at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home with Bro. Kevin Collier and Bro. Chris Waters officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery near Hagewood, LA. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 8 pm on Thursday, January 18th at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home.
Bennie Bynog, 88 years of age and a resident of Provencal, passed away on January 16, 2024 in Provencal with his family by his side. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Ballard Bynog; and his siblings, Jesse Martin, Irvin Martin, William Bynog, and Joseph Bynog.
He is survived by his children, Johnny Bynog, Doris Bynog Johnson, Lottie Collier, Lisa Youman, and Lester Bynog; sisters, Mary Bynog Gandy and Alfair Martin. He was blessed with 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Bennie was an excellent provider for his family. In his younger years, he supported his family as a logger in the timber industry. Later in life, he entered into full time ministry through the United Pentecostal Churches in the area. He pastored at Cloutierville, Florien, and Logansport and ultimately was the Senior Pastor at Lewis Chapel in the Little Egypt Community. His love and dedication for his family was only surpassed by his love for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Even as his health began to decline, he still remained a source of spiritual support and encouragement for his family and friends. We take assurance in knowing that we will be reunited with him in Heaven one day.
