Lloyd Bynog Obituary

Lloyd Neal was born to Lee and Pearline LaCaze Bynog and grew up primarily in the country side of Monet Ferry, LA. He was a kind hearted “Free Spirit” who as a young boy loved to wear and old pair of cut-offs and no shirt in the summer time. It was the best time of his life when he would jet out the front door and hop on “Paint” his Native American horse and run him as fast as he could go. If you think a vehicle goes fast when it passed by, Lloyd and Paint looked like a streak of lightning in the pasture. Although he never made it big in the movies, or earned a Masters Degree, nor cared about politics, but this Free Spirit traveled through many states working in construction. Along the way, never meeting a stranger and always helping those in need along the way. Some may not have encountered his way of life however he had many gifts. Demonstrating kindness as he repaired others vehicles out of the kindness in his heart. He didn’t need a degree in automotive technology, he could fix anything. His other talents included being able to draw anything, write beautiful poetry and was a gifted cook. Preparing delicious meals from scratch for siblings, family and friends and watching them all eat until their bellies popped, brought him joy.

Being raised in an area that was a known Civil War battle site, he was always someone that defended others. Even from a young age he would step in to remedy a wrong. No matter if he was outnumbered it didn’t’ deter him. After a fight on a school bus after defending a young girl from 3 boys, all he was concerned with was that no one would tell his daddy about the altercation. It proved how much life he had and was ready to take on the world.

Many of his friends called him Indian, not only did he look the part but he lived the part. He earned great respect in giving his word and expected the same from others.

He was preceded in death by his son Christopher Bynog, mom and dad Lee and Pearline, siblings Roy, Patty, and Darlene, grandparents Raoul and Alwise Bynog, Phillip and Elma LaCaze. He is survived by his son Reagan Dubois, step-daughter Olivia Clara, his siblings Stella, Orville, Cleveland, Leroy, Mark, Nickie, Nelly and Carolyn.

A rosary service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Blanchard-St. Denis lead by Father John Cunningham. Burial at Bay Springs Cemetery in Chopin, LA will follow. The family will receive friends from 9 am until the time of the Rosary at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Darin Bynog, Ryley Desadier, Roy Bynog, Jr., Buddy Sisson, Larry O’Con, and Orville “Boo” Bynog, III.

Our dear brother will be missed on earth. No more “honey holes”, daily visits, helping others and sharing, your work on earth is done. Now go “Free Spirit” take off running as fast as you can in those cut-off shorts, hoping on Paint and take a ride all over heaven. There you will see your heavenly father and be reunited with your son, Christopher, mom, dad, brothers and sisters. You always said, “never say goodbye, just say see you later”
