El Reverendo Edgar Manuel Nieves Ocasio, de 62 años, partió con el Señor el 13 de septiembre de 2025. Nació el 30 de diciembre de 1962 en Arecibo, Puerto Rico, hijo de sus amorosos padres, el fallecido Manuel Nieves y Carmen María Ocasio.
Fue el amado esposo de Carmen Valentín, padre devoto de Edgar A. Nieves, Ruth M. Nieves, Naiely M. Nieves y Ezequiel M. Nieves, y querido abuelo de Jonuel Seijo, Yadiel Nieves, Elyanna Seijo, Israel M. Figueroa, Jaycee Nieves y Ezequiel Nieves, Jr. También fue un hermano, tío y tío abuelo lleno de amor.
El Reverendo Nieves Ocasio será recordado por su fe, su amor por la familia y su dedicación al servicio de los demás.
Familiares y amigos están cordialmente invitados el jueves, 18 de septiembre de 2025, desde las 6:00 p.m. hasta la hora del servicio a las 7:00 p.m., en la Primera Iglesia Bautista Hispana, 6800 Denison Ave, Cleveland, OH 44102, donde las oraciones y reflexiones finales se llevarán a cabo el viernes, 19 de septiembre de 2025, a las 9:30 a.m.. El entierro se realizará en el Cementerio Holy Cross.

Rev. Edgar Manuel Nieves Ocasio, age 62, passed away on September 13, 2025. He was born on December 30, 1962, in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, to his loving parents, the late Manuel Nieves and Carmen Maria Ocasio.
He was the beloved husband of Carmen Valentin, devoted father of Edgar A. Nieves, Ruth M. Nieves, Naiely M. Nieves, and Ezequiel M. Nieves, and cherished grandfather of Jonuel Seijo, Yadiel Nieves, Elyanna Seijo, Israel M. Figueroa, Jaycee Nieves, and Ezequiel Nieves, Jr. He was also a loving brother, uncle, and great-uncle.
Rev. Nieves Ocasio will be remembered for his faith, love for family, and dedication to serving others.
Family and friends are welcome on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 6 p.m. until time of Service at 7 p.m., at Primera Iglesia Bautista Hispana 6800 Denison Ave, Cleveland, OH 44102, where closing prayers and reflections will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
