Reva Elaine (Scheele) Bright, age 73 of Manhattan, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2019 at her residence.
She was born on August 22, 1945 in Hutchinson, the daughter of Otto Henry and Clementine Reva (Hoffer) Scheele. She graduated from Riley County High School and Brown Mackie Business College.
On December 27, 1964, she was married to Carl Merton Schurle. They later divorced.
Reva worked in the Office of Student Financial Assistance at Kansas State University and early in her working career was a bookkeeper at AIB. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and enjoyed playing the piano and listening to books. She was wonderful seamstress and loved working out at Maximum Performance the last ten years.
She is survived by one daughter, Michelle Francis and Steven of Springfield, Missouri; one sister, Jane Larson and Carl of Leonardville; three grandchildren, Andre Francis, Austin (Sierra) Francis and Aaron Francis and three great grandchildren, Cameron, Legend and Luna Francis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Timothy Carl Schurle and one brother, John Scheele.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 5, 2019 at the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Larson officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in the Riley Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Reva Scheele Bright Memorial Fund, to be designated at a later date. Contributions may be left in care of the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home.
