Reva Joyce Hancock, a beloved mother, grandmother, and faithful church member, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, November 7, 2025, at Lynchburg Nursing Center in Lynchburg, Tennessee. She was 91.

Born on March 9, 1934, in Madison County, Alabama, Reva was the daughter of the late Leslie Leroy Hunter and Susie Isabell Stafford Hunter. She was a 1952 graduate of Hazel Green High School, where she was the valedictorian of her class. At home, she enjoyed spending time with her mother and father on the family's farm in Hazel Green. She was a dedicated wife and mother. In addition to working as an executive administrator with NASA Marshall Space Flight Center, she was a caregiver to her husband for 32 years.

Reva was a woman of deep faith and a devoted member of Park City Baptist Church. Her church community was an integral part of her life, and she cherished the fellowship she shared as a member of the Park City Baptist Sonshiners Group. Reva's greatest joy, however, was her family. She loved to gather her loved ones. She was known for joyfully hosting Sunday lunches that created lasting memories, and she was always willing to lend a listening ear and provide her guidance.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyman I. Hancock; her granddaughter, Savannah Hancock; and her brother, Howard (Libby) Hunter.

Reva is survived by her son, Dan Hancock; grandchildren, Holly (Sam) Poole, April Hancock, and Dustin Hancock; her great-grandchildren, Avery Foster, Hunter Hancock, Isla and Samuel Poole; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation with the family will be held from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at the Park City Baptist Church, immediately followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM. Bro. Don Russell will officiate the service, and burial will follow in the State Line Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Park City Baptist Church, 2809 Huntsville Hwy, Fayetteville, TN 37334.
